Breaking the Law for Good

While eating dinner at the house of a Pharisee, Jesus noticed a man with dropsy (physical ailment). He turns to the Pharisees and says, “I can heal him, but it’s the Sabbath. Is it lawful for me to do it?” What happens next is something we all need to learn.

DINNER GROUP QUESTIONS:

• Jesus breaks the law to heal a man on the Sabbath.  What do you think about that?
• What feels bad about that?  What feels good about that?
• What truth about God do you think Jesus wanted them to know when they got up from the table that day?
• Where in your life might this truth come into play?
