Faithfulness

We are not called to be successful, only faithful.” – Mother Teresa

Mind:

God is faithful.  Faithfulness, though, can often be hard to recognize in the moment.  It takes looking back over our life to notice and recognize God’s faithfulness; it takes self-examination.

At the end of each day this week, look back over your day or your week or a span of years and write down the ways that you have seen God’s faithfulness in your life.

Body

We live in a world where commitments are easily broken.  We like to keep our options open, just in case something better comes up.  We are the center of our own universe.

Commit to faithfulness in the little things as well as the big things this week.  Keep your word.  Show up.  Be an encourager.  Say what you mean.  Be truthful.

Spirit

Before you were born, God consecrated you.  You are sacred to God; set apart and called for God’s own purposes.

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.” – Jeremiah 1:5
